Q: I’d probably be coming alone. Do you expect there to be more couples there or other singles? I’ve never traveled alone and not sure I’d enjoy it!

A: YES–there are lots of fun single people to meet (friends, I mean!). Most of those coming are solo, and also looking to band together with others. There are also some couples too!

You will LOVE LOVE LOVE it –all you do is get there, and you won’t be alone again if you don’t want to be. We all hang out constantly. So many people aren’t sure about how it will be to come by themselves, and then it’s so super fun and empowering. I can’t say enough about it.

Q: Are most of the days spent on planned activities or breaking off and doing things individually?

A: Most days we are doing special VIP adventures that Don takes us to but there are a couple of afternoons free to shop and do things with others or if you want to go get a massage or whatever! Or heck, have another glass of Brunello.

Q: You mentioned a spa? Are any spa services included? Wasn’t quite clear.

A: The spa is basically a whole beautiful little town, Bagno Vignoni. The spa treatments like massage aren’t included but just to go into the healing hot springs is very inexpensive, and amazing. Just to be in the springs for 20 minutes makes you feel like you just slept for a week!

Q: What is the name of the hotel/inn in Montalcino?

A: There are 4 hotels in Montalcino, all surrounding the fortress: Barlanzone, Il Rifugio, Porta

Castellana. Suite d’Artista are apartments we will use for couples or 2 friends sharing.

Q: Do you provide transportation to and from the airport? Which airport should I fly into, and what times should I arrive and depart?

A: Yes, we take you from, and back to the Rome (FCO) airport on the 23 and 30th of July. We are going to meet for the shuttle between 12-12:30 on the 23rd, so make sure you’re at the airport by then. (NOTE: You will want to arrive earlier so you’re able to make it through customs and be able to meet us in the area outside customs BY noon). On the 30th, try to get a flight out after 10 am so you won’t have to get up too early, and we will have a shuttle back for you–easy!

    Hello Sadie and everyone,

I don’t think that my questions have been covered in the FAQ so here they are:

    - I am based in London, UK and have never been to any of Saide’s classes. While I practice Atma Vikasa Hatha yoga and am not a yoga beginner, do you think that the retreat is suitable for a total “Sadie” beginner?

    - Flights from London are much cheaper into Pisa, which is also much closer to Montalcino as it is in Tuscany. I appreciate that the shuttle picks up and drops off from Rome, but would there be any way of arranging separate transport through your partners?

Thank you very much and I hope to meet you all there :-)

Actually, Pisa and Rome — in terms of travel time — are about the same distance. The roads are much better from Rome to Montalcino than from Pisa, and for travelers from the US, there are far more flights. From Pisa, you can take the train to Siena – or the bus – and from Siena there is another bus to Montalcino. Unfortunately, we don’t have any partners that we can ask to do a separate Pisa pick up. Have you checked flights to Ciampino (also Rome)? From there you can take a bus to Roma Termini, and catch a train to Fiumicino Airport to meet up with us. Ciampino is also served by RyanAir and the other low-fare carriers.

I’ll leave the yoga questions to Sadie…..

  13. It’s exhausting to search out knowledgeable folks on this topic, but you sound like you realize what you’re talking about! Thanks
